Wullie Steele
Originally from a small steel town on the west coast of Scotland, Wullie Steele is an artist, broadcaster, event facilitator and digital educator currently based in the south west of Scotland’s capital. After a long career in community web development, digital arts and adult education – Wullie decided to pursue his life long passion for victorian art and culture. Combined with a flare for the theatrical and creative, this soon developed into in the creation of the Steampunk persona Atticus Oldman.
Over the last ten years, Atticus Oldman has become a well known figure in both the UK and international Steampunk community. In addition to hosting the internationally acclaimed Absinthe Affair web radio show, Wullie has assisted with the development and management of some of the largest events and weekend festivals across the UK. Working as Atticus Oldman, Wullie has also brought many steampunk bands to Scotland’s capital including Professor Elemental, Victor Sierra, Frenchy and The Punk and The Wattingers.
For some time, Wullie has been working as a ghost-walk tour guide with the world famous ‘City of The Dead’ tour agency. This soon led to the creation of a new dreadpunk style persona with glow in the dark eyes and a raven winged hat. This new persona, Artemus Deadman (or rather A. Deadman) has become a well known and respected figure in the Edinburgh tour guide community.:
Now with the foundation of the Agents of Steampunkery tour agency, Wullie Steele has brought together his two steampunk themed personas in a unique partnership aiming to provide visitors to Edinburgh excursions extraordinaire!
Atticus Oldman
A stalwart creative contributor to the international Steampunk community for well over a decade, Atticus is the host of Agents of Steampunkery’s family friendly and daytime tours. Atticus has also founded and hosted some of the largest Steampunk events held in Scotland.
Artemus Deadman
With his winged hat and glowing eyes, Artemus is well known and respected as one of Edinburgh’s more gruesome storytellers and tour guides. Artemus is host of Agents of Steampunkery’s evening and adult themed tours snd events.
