Atticus Oldman (Wullie Steele) has been described as the ‘Voice’ of Steampunk in Scotland due to his extensive experience in broadcasting via web radio and more recently on Roku TV. His weekly music programme ‘The Absinthe Affair’ and his TV show ‘Behind The Goggles’ has brought friends and followers from Iceland to New Zealand and from Auld Reekie to Alabama.

When combined with over thirty years multi-award winning involvement in the planning and hosting of small and large scale community events, concerts, galas and festivals, Atticus has acquired a unique skill set perfectly suited to taking on the mantle of Steampunk Celebrant or Mechanical Master of Ceremonies.

After undergoing training and accreditation over the summer, Atticus will be available to officiate as Celebrant from autumn 2023 working under the name “The Multiversian Bureau”. This will be initially for Steampunk themed and LGBTQQIAAP Friendly Blessings and Naming Ceremonies, Commitment Services and both Vow Taking & Vow Renewals.

Later on Celebrant duties for Weddings and Funerals will be included in the range of services provided – Although, Wedding Ceremonies will still require a visit to a Registrars Office to fulfil legal requirements and signing of the Register before Witnesses in the usual manner. This can take place either before or after the Celebrant Ceremony).

Each Celebration and Ceremony will be fully crafted around the ideas and wishes of those involved with as many (or as few) elements of Steampunk as the participants would like included in the Gathering. Hand-fasting, Ring or Token exchanges can be included as can simple but sincere gestures suitable to be repeated during anniversaries of the ceremony. These can be something as simple as sharing a drink of wine or water or breaking bread together. Additional services such as graphic and website design alongside document production for web and print will also be available as requested.

Each Celebration or Ceremony will be different and unique and undertaken at locations indicated by those involved. Home or Hotel, Festival or Function Room, in Nature or the heart of the City – While permissions may be needed for some public locations, the Gathering can be adapted to suit a wide selections of scene and setting.

Prices will be negotiated on a case by case business with any travel or additional expenses included in estimates and fully agreed in advance. However, this new endeavour is a personal passion and not intended to become a full time profession. This will be a serious factor in calculating the costings – Which will be intended to be always negotiable and affordable.
